FINCA TUPUNGATO WINELANDS

Estate located in the Department of Tupungato, Gualtallary district, between 1,350 and 1,400 m.a.s.l. The vineyard rests on a sandy-loam soil with a high limestone content and grows under a markedly cold mountain climate. Its east and northeast tilt lets the rows receive the clean brightness of the early hours of the day, sheltered from the heavier afternoon radiation to achieve a slow, balanced ripening.

Soils: Sandy-loam soil with a high limestone content.
Climate & exposure: High-mountain desert climate, markedly cold (with the lowest temperatures in the GI). Its steep east and northeast-facing slope allows optimal use of the morning sun, protecting the vineyard from intense afternoon radiation and thus ensuring a slow ripening that preserves an exceptional natural acidity.
Training system: Vertical trellis.
Irrigation: Drip irrigation.
